Du Toit Yacht Design has launched two Open Ocean 800 Luxury Expedition Catamarans. The second one is named Cake.

The Open Ocean 800 Expedition Catamaran is the bigger sister of the Open Ocean 750 Expedition Catamaran, Quo Vadis.

The Open Ocean 800 Expedition Catamaran II, Cake, is a slightly modified sister ship to the 800E-1 with a slightly smaller saloon area and larger cockpit area which is fitted out with a dining table, barbecue and bar fridge. The aft cabins have been fitted with California Kings and all  4 double cabins have spacious en suite heads. Built for a couple who want to experience kite surfing in far flung destinations, the aft deck setup has been left open for easy launches. The boat is equipped with a 5.05m primary tender, a 3.2m dinghy and a jet ski launched from dedicated davit cranes.
