Throughout his career, Dwight has worked on a wide range of technically demanding projects, from zero-emission vehicle platforms to specialised fire-fighting and heavy-duty transport systems. His experience spans concept design, component and systems engineering, 3D modelling, drawing production, team leadership, production support and compliance with demanding industry standards. This has given him a practical and highly transferable skill set that brings real value to the yacht design environment.

At DTYD, Dwight contributes to yacht and vessel design projects from concept through to completion, working across hull design, structural analysis, propulsion systems and onboard mechanical systems. He collaborates closely with both clients and the wider design team, helping translate technical requirements into workable, efficient and well-integrated solutions. His ability to think both strategically and practically makes him particularly effective in navigating complex engineering challenges.

A notable strength of Dwight’s is his ability to bring a cross-industry perspective into yacht design. His background in ergonomics, thermal management, safety and systems integration allows him to approach marine projects holistically, ensuring that vessels are not only technically sound, but also practical, comfortable and intuitive to use.
