Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith is an interior designer with a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design, completed at Inscape in 2025. She has a passion for creating thoughtful, functional spaces that enhance the way people experience their environment, with a particular interest in human-centred design, craftsmanship and considered detailing.

Before joining Du Toit Yacht Design, Jennifer developed experience in interior architectural detailing, technical drawing, drafting and producing client-ready presentations. Her academic projects spanned commercial, hospitality and wellness environments, where she refined her skills in space planning, material selection, and balancing creativity with practical design solutions.

Drawn to yacht design through her love of the outdoors and the ocean, Jennifer has a deep appreciation for thoughtful design and the connection between people and the environments they inhabit. These influences continue to shape her approach to creating spaces that are both beautiful and purposeful.

At DTYD, Jennifer works closely with the interior design team to develop bespoke yacht interiors that are both elegant and practical. She enjoys the collaborative nature of the design process while contributing fresh ideas, creativity and a thoughtful approach to every project. She is particularly inspired by the unique challenges of yacht design, where every millimetre matters and every design decision must carefully balance aesthetics, functionality and the technical requirements of a highly specialised environment. Her eye for detail, organised approach and strong visual communication skills have already made her a valuable addition to the Du Toit Yacht Design team.
